This 5" deep purple tetraploid with a black eyezone above a small chartreuse throat is perhaps the most sunfast of any dark purple daylily. This picture was taken at 2:00PM on a 100 degree day. The flower is still quite during the latest hours of the afternoon and after returning home from work. JON HUGHES SR. is named in honor of my friend at Neuse Baptist Church who is the caretaker for the Church grounds and all my daylily seedlings growing there. The flower is semi evergreen, early mid season bloomer with 15 buds, and 28" scapes. $20.00
