A TICK KISSING A MOOSE ON A WEDNESDAY
Baxter 2006 Fall Introduction

H. 'A Tick Kissing A Moose On A Wednesday' (Baxter, 2006r.) Spatulate Unususal Form and a striking bi-color flower. 3 3/8" bloom, 29" scape branched with over 20 buds. This is only the 12th daylily to be classfied as an unusual form that has a bloom smaller than 3½". Because of it's uniqueness, it warrants becoming the third "day of the week" in the moose series joining H. 'A Moose Fishing On A Pond On Monday' and H. 'The Moose Camped In A Tent On Tuesday'.

I discovered H. 'Itsy Bitsy Spider' at the 1995 AHS National Convention in Knoxville, Tennessee and dreamed of pushing it more toward a spider. After blooming over 1,000 seedlings from my "tick" (mini spider) program I selected about 5 keepers and gave away or destroyed the rest. H. 'A Tick Kissing A Moose On A Wednesday' has nice coloration and thinness of form. It has a non-spider ratio of 3.75:1. [(H. 'Itsy Bitsy Spider' × H. 'Nutmeg Elf') × (H. 'Itsy Bitsy Spider' × H. 'Nutmeg Elf')] $65.00 double divisions
