I love the color of these gingerbread/ butterscotch blooms. Late in the season they are very soothing.
They seem to presage the fall colors that are not too far in the future.
GINGERBREAD LANE is an open blossom - a form I like. I like the space between the floral segments to actually be part of the design of the flower. When you are far away you see a sculptural form that adds to the patterns in the garden.
GINGERBREAD LANE clumps up quickly and with its ample buds it puts on a good show.
