CRAZY LEGS

Seedling x ALONE WITH MAUD

Unusual Form – Variable Crispate 26” x 9” Tet, Dor, Early 4-5 way branching. 20 – 25 buds.

Early and plentiful: that describes CRAZYLEGS; an unusually colored and patterned Unusual Form. It blooms the earliest of my introductions and because it is so well branched and budded it produces many flowers well into the season.

The apricot color of the petals and the sepals combined with the rose-purple chevron is not common in tetraploid Unusual Forms. The lighter midrib and the glowing gold throat add to the remarkable look of this flower.

CRAZYLEGS is also a Spatulate. Many times UFos fall into more than one category, but I feel that this plant is most suited to be registered as a variable crispate. It has many poses and often the Spatulate characteristic is hidden either by the rolling under or the twisting of the petal.

CRAZYLEGS is open early in the morning and since it blooms on sturdy scapes and is very sun-fast it will greet you when you return at the end of the day.

Pollen fertile.
