CAPTAIN NEMO is a grape jelly purple Unusual Form. A Variable Crispate with a very nice green throat. Not only is it a good looking flower, but CAPTAIN NEMO is a great parent. One of it's kids is WIGGLESWORTH, a future introduction, but CAPTAIN NEMO is in many of my future intros.
Most of the time F1s of converted Tets are pod sterile, but CAPTAIN NEMO which has Tet. DAMSEL IN DISTRESS, Lambert; as a pollen parent is extremely pod and pollen fertile. It passes on a very clear color to its kids. And in many cases it passes on crispation as well. So CAPTAIN NEMO is a wonderful hybridizing tool as well as a fine garden subject. Fertile both ways.
