It is very exciting to see new cultivars form. Our first plant was registered in 1995. Since that time we have registered fifteen plants. We grow our seedlings in 5 x 10 raised beds. Seedlings are selected if they exhibit different qualities and strong characteristics. We are especially interested in unusual forms and dormant plants.
Our garden is state inspected and is a display garden for the American Hemerocallis Society. We follow the recommendations from the University of Georgia for weed, disease, and insect control. We are members of the American Hemerocallis Society, the Middle Georgia Hemerocallis Society and the Horticulture Club. As time permits we enjoy showing flowers in the local and regional flower shows. We will be on the regional tour for Region Five this year. We always invite everyone to our annual open garden.
