MINNIE SENTER
(Barnes, Cl. 2010)

#B06-LBBEG-7  (Lavender Blue Baby X Evelyn Gates) 28” scapes, Midseason, Semi-Evergreen, Diploid.  The second introduction from this very productive cross!  4 ½” round, ruffled flowers are lavender pink with white midribs, a bright violet blue eye and a green throat.  In hot weather, the flower is more of a dusty pink, and in cooler weather, more lavender.  Beautiful either way!  Heavy substance and a reliable rebloomer for me.  Very nice fragrance, too.  3-way branching and 18 buds.  Fertile both ways.  Named for my Grandma Minnie, who got me started growing daylilies.  My Mother and I are reminded of her when we see the colors in this flower.

SWEETEST OF DREAMS
(Barnes, Cl. 2010)

B06-RPTUNK-1  (Royal Pink Twist X Unknown) 24” scapes, Midseason, Dormant, Diploid.  6” blooms are a gorgeous pale pink self with a cream to green throat.  Very full and ruffled.  This plant bloomed and bloomed this year with 3 sets of scapes!  Makes huge fans, which are very vertical when they emerge in the spring.  4-way branching and 22 buds.  A great flower and one of my very best!  I’m not sure, but the pollen parent may have been ‘Evelyn Gates.’  Fertile both ways.

LITTLE MISS CHARLA
(Barnes, Cl. 2009)

#B06-SEJCBP-1  (Siloam Elfin Jewel X Crystal Blue Persuasion)  16” scapes, Early, Dormant, Diploid.  Tiny 2 ¾” blooms are an almond blend with an enormous eyezone of bright violet blue outlined in magenta with a green throat.  The flower recurves and the eye is so large that oftentimes the base color is hardly noticeable.  2 to 3 way branching with 10 to 12 buds.  I wish the budcount were higher, but in every year that it has been grown, it immediately sends up rebloom scapes.  Therefore its bloom season is still quite adequate.  A cute, jewel of a flower named for my niece, who is certainly a jewel herself!  Pod fertile. Holding for increase. Some may be available in the spring
