ROMAN RULER $25df
Lovett, Dan 38”, Sev, M Dip 6.5” Purple self, yellow-green throat, Unusual Form
[(Indian Giver x Uniquely Different) x Yabba Dabba Doo] x Savannah Banana Split
I named this flower ROMAN RULER because the deep purple color was the color of royalty in the time of the Roman Empire, when purple garments signified wealth and power. This is the feeling that it gives, when at clump size, it seems to rule as a monarch over the entire bed.
The nice, deep purple color came from its pod parent (garden name “Different Indian”) and it’s size from Savannah Banana Split. The 6.5” bloom size of this cascading beauty is deceiving because it measures from tip to tip almost 12” (L = 5.875, W = 1.75, R = 3.4). Pods are difficult. Pollen is good.
