Two of the three parents that I used on this cross were seedlings of mine that I did not introduce. However they both have given me a lot of good stuff, which proves, I guess, that you can’t tell a book by its cover. And it also tells me that I should continue to hold some seedlings just to breed with.

This is another poor picture of a good flower. (I took it at the wrong time of day, with the sun behind it.) I consider it to be one of the best seedlings in this year’s crop. It is large and narrow, and the petals and sepals have all kind of action……twisting and curling and looping. I am excited about it and can’t wait until next year when it blooms again.
