D12 [(Indian Giver x Uniquely Different) x Yabba Dabba Doo] x PURPLE MANY FACES
When I run out of room (like constantly) I grow some of my “overflow” at a friends house a few blocks away. I am thankful to have this option but admittedly, I don’t give these seedlings as much attention as the ones growing at my house that I see several times a day during bloom season. I just overlooked the potential of this seedling its initial bloom year or either it improved by its second year. Normally I would have trashed this bed in the fall and replanted the next spring. But circumstances prevented me from doing it and I left it to bloom another year. And that is when I discovered this guy….a stroke of luck!
It is very narrow……one of the narrowest I have hybridized, and with a very attractive purple color. I used its pollen heavily this year. It may have some plant habit issues that will prevent it from being an introduction, but I am giving it more time for evaluation. |
