Dan Lovett's Daylily Seedlings

This little 5” bloom is on a 42” 3-branch scape with 14 buds and presents itself very well. The cascade form with its twists and curls is my favorite of all the spider forms. It brings beautiful motion to the garden when it gracefully bounces and flutters in the breeze.

I would love to come up with some mini-spiders. Several hybridizers are working on them. The difficulty is that there aren’t many of these little guys out there to work with. This plant produced seed for me and I hope that it will lead to a line of smaller daylilies. In the meantime, I am looking for some smaller breeding stock to cross with it.
