Dan Lovett's Daylily Seedlings

D02         (Lacy Marionette x Smithereens) x Cherokee Vision

This is the first time that I have bred daylilies with the specific purpose of getting an eyed flower. The eyed seedlings that I have gotten in the past were surprises or by-products from other efforts. I am  pleased with this one. It is quite striking in the garden even from a long distance. Its pollen parent, CHEROKEE VISION is a very nice Unusual Form, but is grows shorter for me than I like. This seedling is taller (38”) and has great eye color which contrast dramatically with the bright yellow petal color. It has 13 buds and three branches.
