2007 INTRODUCTIONS
DIPLOIDS

PINK LONGLEGS   EM  35”  DOR.  This daylily was to be Silver Streak, but that name was taken and actually Pink Longlegs describes this spider better.  It is pink with silver highlights and has very narrow sepals and petals.  I had a gully washer, when this plant was small, that washed the name stakes down the hill, therefore the parents are unknown.

UNKNOWN PARENTAGE                $75.00

TETRAPLOIDS

*HIGHWAYS AND BYWAYS   M  38”  SEV.  Since this daylily is the only one I got from Angel’s Smile that is rust resistant, I needed to keep it for rust resistant crosses.  Highways and Byways has dark pink petals, a light pinkish-yellow eye zone with yellow edging and light pink sepals which make it a bi-tone flower.  The flower is 6 inches in size.

ED BROWN X ANGEL’S SMILE      $75.00

*PAUL’S PICK   EM  33”  SEV.RE.   The bloom on this plant approaches 6 inches, but the earliness of the bloom is its strongest point.  The color of the bloom is pale yellow with a red halo enclosing a deeper yellow eye zone to a small green throat.  The plant is big and sturdy.  It remains green all season into early winter and it is rust resistant

MARMALADE SKIES X WISEST OF WIZARDS        $100.00

*PINEGARDEN CURLEY TOP   M  29”  SEV.RE.   How daylilies show personality is difficult to explain.  The turn of a curl or tilt of the flower may explain it.  This 5 ½” flower is a deep pink and has a whitish or pale yellow edge all around the recurved sepals and more heavily ruffled petals.  Standard, you may say, but this flower draws your attention because it has personality.

ED BROWN X SEEDLING  $75.00

*TRES OF HEARTS  M  26”  SEV.RE.   The light lavender base color has a bluish eye and edge on this 5 ¾” flower.  It is rust resistant so I needed it to make blue crosses.  I want to get numerous shades of blue on flowers that are rust resistant.  Most of the flowers I have looked at that have some blue also get rust.

ALAS X TETRA LAVENDER BLUE BABE    $100.00

*ANNA RUBY REVISITED   EM  32”  SEV.RE.   Although this plant loses some of the verve of the original flower, it is rust resistant so I will use it in hybridizing.  Looking much like Anna Ruby, its 5 ¾” flower is offered on a somewhat larger plant.

REGAL BRAID X ANNA RUBY       $100.00

*PINEGARDEN TEETER-TOTTER   EM  28”  DOR.   I had only one small flower of tetraploid Pinegarden Merry-Go-Round.  I decided to add this beautifully colored red one with a 3 ½” flower of close to perfect form.  The plant is large and sturdy.

CRIMSON SHADOWS X SEEDLING              $75.00

*ROSALIE   MLA  26”  SEV.RE.   This pink, 5 ½” flower has a brick-red halo with a yellow eye zone, a green throat and a small yellow edge on heavy ruffles.

SHAKA ZULU X ABBA    $75.00

MARY ELLEN McREYNOLDS     $65.00

M 25”  DOR. RE.   This plant has bi-colored flowers with white sepals and mid-ribs on the lavender petals.  The rather tailored flower blooms on nicely branched scapes.  I have grown it for a number of years and this year it is my bi-color introduction and is rust resistant.

CISTY X BETTY DAVIS EYES

*BOTICHELLI’S STAINED GLASS   $115.00

EM  26”  DOR.   One of my absolute favorites from it’s early blooms, Botichelli’s Stained Glass is now available.  It’s huge, pale-red eye has darker lines and outlining that reminded me of stained glass.  The red eye is on a pale-yellow ground.  The bloom is nearly 6” in size.  The plant is vigorous and highly resistant to rust.  It does not have to be cut down in the fall when rust is prevalent.  I love it and I’m sure you will too!

JOE MARINELLO X WISEST OF WIZARDS

*JIMMY CLARK   $60.00

MLA  26”  DOR.   Named for a friend and neighbor, this 6” bloom of flesh-lavender has a pale lavender eye, double edge of lavender and pale yellow that matches the yellow to green throat.  It is a strong grower.  I use it with blues.

ANNA RUBY X REGAL BRAID

*TAILGUNNER HARRY CAMPBELL  $75.00

EM  24”  DOR. RE.   This 5” flower is the favorite of many of the visitors to our garden.  It’s color is pink with red eye and edge and stands 24”.  This flower has a personality of  it’s own.  It is not a tall plant, but is a good strong grower.

ANNA RUBY X REGAL BRAID

*THERESA LAWRENCE FORD  $75.00

M  30”  DOR. RE.   This one, of the same cross as Tailgunner Harry Campbell, is taller and bigger.  Two colors of pink describe the flower.  The bloom of 5 ½” is full in form.  The color is light pink with a darker pink eye and small edge on the petal that matches the eye.  The petals are nicely ruffled.  This plant has some resistance to rust, but is not perfect.

REGAL BRAID X ANNA RUBY

*OSKEE WOW WOW   $75.00

E  20”  DOR. RE.   Oskee Wow Wow is a fight song from my school, University of Illinois.  The low blooming plant grows strongly and is very rust resistant.  The flower has a pale orange ground with a darker orange eye and edge.  It is 5 ½” in size with good ruffles.  This plant re-blooms well.  It is a lovely front edge plant for a bed.

(MARMALADE SKIES X WISEST OF WIZARDS) X SEEDLING

*PINEGARDEN KLONDIKE   $65.00

M  32”  DOR.   The 6” flower here has a lavender halo around a big heart-shaped eye and throat area that is yellow turning to green.  It also has a lavender edge with moderately controlled rufles.  While it does not divide rapidly, it is a good grower.  I use this in blue breeding.

CLOTHED IN GLORY X SEEDLING

*PINEGARDEN SWEET SIXTEEN   $65.00

M  28”  DOR. RE.   This flower is basically a white flower, 5 ½” in size with a narrow, pink halo above a pale yellow to dark green throat.  The plant is rust resistant.  The strong growing plant supports flowers of very good form with wide sepals.

[(ENCHANTED EMPRESS X BOB WHITE) X SEEDLING] X SEEDLING

*PINEGARDEN ALL LINED UP   $55.00

EM  32”  DOR. RE.   This very strong growing plant has no picture because the 37 slides, of which it’s picture was a part of, were lost by Kodak and mis-sent to an unknown store.  The 5 ¼” flower is basically lavender with pale lavender ground and darker lines that highlight it.  It has a big chartreuse to grene throat.  The nicely branched scapes bloom and re-bloom on very rust resistant plants.

{[(MARISKA X  PINK MONDAY) X TET GRANDDAUGHTER BECKY LOU] X SEEDLING}

*ALLEY OOPS   $55.00

M  27”  DOR. RE.   I called this flower “Painted Eye” while it was growing up because the bright, pink eye looks like it was put on the apricot colored background with a brush.  The flower is larger than it’s early days at 5 ¾”.  A good growing plant with good branching, Alley Oops has re-bloomed well.

PINEGARDEN SUPER NOVA $45.00

E 38” DOR. RE Visiting our garden one day, some friends brought their grandson, John Paul, who picked this flower as his favorite and supplied the name. A cascading unusual form, 8-inch, wine-colored flower with deep V’s of lime green on petals and sepals. It stands up well in the garden when the rain or wind come.

UNKNOWN X UNKNOWN

*PINEGARDEN TICKLED PINK $65.00

EM 26” DOR. This pink and white bi-colored flower just makes the large flower category, but the contrast of colors makes it stand out. It has a very green throat with a slight pale yellow halo around it. I did a number of crosses to get pink-white flowers. This one is very compelling.

ANN VIRGINIA X SEEDLING

*PINK PAISLEY $55.00

M 23” DOR. RE The color of this 5” flower is the color for which Baby Ribbon Pink was named. Having a 28 to 30-inch bud scope made it a keeper.

ANN VIRGINIA X COME WITH ME

*PINEGARDEN RIDING HIGH $45.00

MLA 33” DOR. This 5-inch, scarlet-red with very green throat flower rides high on a rather tall scape. It has lots of crimped ruffles on both petals and sepals.

2004 INTRODUCTIONS

*DOROTHY ROBERTS $50.00

M. 30” DOR. RE. The vigorous plants produce big, creamy white blooms that settle in at 5 ¾” and are ringed with lavender-blue. They have a lavender-blue eye surrounding a very green throat.

(ANNA RUBY X REGAL BRAID)

*HARRISON ALLEY $75.00

M 28-31” DOR. This shocking red daylily has a very green throat radiating out to a small amount of yellow. What this plant has is HUGE size flowers on scapes that seem short in comparison. The flower when pulled out to measure like a spider is 12”. The petals are too wide to call a spider however. I have never seen a flower as large. Look for the huge blooms after it settles in for a full year.

(FIRE FROM HEAVEN X SEEDLING) X VELVET WIDOW

*PINEGARDEN INDIGO MOOD $75.00

EM. 28” DOR. RE. The flower here is a deep pink-lavender. The petals and sepals are full and eyed and edged with blue. Not as much contrast as sibling Pinegarden My Blue Heaven, but have not found blue-eyed and edged daylilies with this type of full form. The healthy plants divide rapidly. Easily fertile both ways.

(ALAS X TETRA LAVENDER BLUE BABY)

PINEGARDEN LISA MARIE $25.00

EM. 28” SEV. RE. The white bloom recurves to 5 ¾” and has lots of ruffles and whirles. Very wide sepals and petals complete the picture. Sturdy plants.
(MADISON MARIE X MONICA MARIE)

*PINEGARDEN MY BLUE HEAVEN $50.00

EM. 29” DOR. RE. A bigger flower at 6” than its sibling Indigo Mood with light lavender petals and sepals and a blue eye and edge. Healthy rapidly developing plants that set pods easily and have fertile pollen.

(ALAS X TETRA LAVENDER BLUE BABY)

PINEGARDEN OLYMPIC TORCH $10.00

M. 38” DOR. The bloom is a big unusual form, spatulate type. Starting with gold in the center, gold and orange spread outward to orange edges. The size of the flower makes up for the low bud count. The robust plant increases rapidly.

(UNKNOWN X UNKNOWN)

PINEGARDEN STEP UP $15.00

M 38” DOR. This big spider is the parent of an even bigger one. It’s color is yellow-gold with red chevrons and a big green throat. A good parent to make narrow both petals and sepals in offspring.

*PINEGARDEN KIM ELAINE  E 26” DOR.RE.  I am so pleased to introduce Kim Elaine and it’s sibling Wendy Ann since they come from one of the first seedlings I had to bloom back in the 1980’s.  It took me awhile but finally, in it’s tetraploid form, Madison Marie has produced tetraploids living up to it’s potential.  The very round 6” bloom has looping, free flowing ruffles heavy on sepals and petals.  No other color but white is apparent except for the small yellow to green throat.  The scape has 3 to 4-way branching with 25 buds.  Fertile both ways.
PINEGARDEN TINKERBELL X TETRA MADISON MARIE      $20.00

*PINEGARDEN KLONDIKE   M  32”  DOR.   The 6” flower here has a lavender halo around a big heart-shaped eye and throat area that is yellow turning to green.  It also has a lavender edge with moderately controlled rufles.  While it does not divide rapidly, it is a good grower.  I use this in blue breeding.
CLOTHED IN GLORY X SEEDLING $65.00

*PINEGARDEN MARIA ELAINA  M 27” DOR. RE.  A mass of  ruffles on the 5 ¼” lavender flower that often looks like a bi-color in slides but really is a self in the garden.  Maria Elaina has lots of buds.
ED BROWN X SEEDLING  $35.00

*PINEGARDEN MERRY-GO-ROUND  1999 M 18” DOR. RE.  This little 3 ½” flower makes a complete circle with no gaps and the rose edging on the cream petals shows around each petal.  The diminutive scapes have 2 to 3 way branching.

PINEGARDEN OLYMPIC TORCH  M.  38”  DOR.  The bloom is a big unusual form, spatulate type.  Starting with gold in the center, gold and orange spread outward to orange edges.  The size of the flower makes up for the low bud count.  The robust plant increases rapidly.

RE.  Visiting our garden one day, some friends brought their grandson, John Paul, who picked this flower as his favorite and supplied the name.  A cascading unusual form, 8-inch, wine-colored flower with deep V’s of lime green on petals and sepals.  It stands up well in the garden when rain or wind come.
