The pod parent was a Gift plant from Matthew, deep dark lavender in color. I recognized the breeding potential immediately, and was not disappointed.

VALENTINE GREETINGS has superior branching, and offers a profusion of deep blood red blooms over a long period of time. The blooms are heavily ruffled and are perfectly symmetrical. She’s fertile both ways, and a great tool for deep red breeding. Branching is superior, and a two year old clump is stunning. I have used pollen from Matthews “Best Edge” lavishly last year on this beauty, to add looping gold ruffles to the next generation.
