NIGHT TRAIN TO MEMPHIS ( LORD OF THE STORM x BELLA SERA ) Tetraploid, 27”. EM, 5.25”, 3 Br., 20 Buds, Semievergreen. A deep, black lavender bloom with virgin white ruffles and flutes,
combined with a wonderful lettuce-green throat best describes this cultivar.
NIGHT TRAIN is fertile both ways here in Florida, and sets seeds readily.
I believe that both parents, because of their remarkable genetics, have
contributed the most wonderful genes to this introduction..
The end result has been spectacular. Visitors have all commented on the dark
rich color. That white edge makes a beautiful “frame” for the blossom.
Good strong scapes and a profusion of blooms means you will have lots of
pollen to work with. NIGHT TRAIN is truly a “Breeders Choice” daylily.
I have no doubt that this one will sell out rapidly here. Supply is limited.
I plan to hold back a few for breeding. I am definitely not finished working
with this beauty. |
