MARLENE HARMON Tetraploid 32” Mid., 3br. 21 buds, 5” bloom, SE. (Gillian X Seedling) X (Ed Brown) MARLENE is the lovely wife of Carl Harmon, in Hudson, NH. both very dear friends and daylily growers. (Harmonhill). We thought enough of this daylily to name it in honor of Marlene, and to thank her for her good nature and patience with all of us daylily crazies. MARLENE, (the daylily), is a pale blue/lavender with a slightly deeper eye and edging. The eyezone is somewhat feathered, not at all bold, but subtle and fascinating. A good grower here, and quick to increase. Fertile both ways, her pollen was used quite a bit last bloom season in pursuit of those elusive blue daylilies. I have high hopes for the results.
