Welcome to Honeybee’s Paradise Gardens where we specialize in daylilies.  This is our 9th year and as always we do enjoy daylilies and daylily people.  We currently grow around 950 varieties of daylilies and we add new varieties each year.  We have also caught the hosta bug, and we are currently growing over 150 varieties of hosta.  After hearing your many requests and suggestions, this year we will be offering a few of our hostas for sale.  Check back later in the growing season to see what varieties will be available.  Hostas are for garden pick up only.

At our small husband and wife operation, you will not find a large farm setting. Instead, you will see how we have incorporated the use of many other perennials, the use of rocks and driftwood throughout our display.  And of course all those daylilies!  To us, this is much more personal and it gives you ideas of what can be achieved in your own garden.

We hope this will be the year that you come see our BLOOMERS!!  We are located in the western mountains of North Carolina, near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Grandfather Mountain.  Peak bloom is usually the first or second week in July, depending on our weather.   We will open the gardens for the 2008 season on Saturday, June 21.  Garden hours are:  Monday and Tuesday:  4:30PM—dark, Thursday, Friday and Saturday:  10:00AM—6:00PM.  We are closed on Sunday.  In addition the gardens will be open Thursday, June 26—Saturday, July 12:  10:00AM—6:00PM.  Our real work schedule is uncertain at this time for the upcoming bloom season.  So you won’t be disappointed and we won’t miss your visit, we suggest you call ahead before you make a long trip.  The garden hours will also be posted on our answering machine throughout the bloom season.   

2008 INTRODUCTIONS We are excited to be offering 5 new introductions this year.  Our first introduction is named in the honor of my Aunt, Ms. Lucy Powell.  Aunt Lucille is a very special lady.  She is someone I have always admired, looked up to and I have always cherished our friendship.  And with this introduction, I would like her to know how much she means to me and how much I love her!!
