2006 proved to be a fantastic year for advancement in my hybridizing program. Years of working on blacks finally paid dividends in spades! ‘Black Market’ (2006) crossed back to a seedling netted four totally black seedlings. In addition, the doubles took a GIANT leap forward with several marked for future introduction. Also look out for teeth and tendrils. I have no doubt that 2007 will continue to yield exciting results.
Take a look at the web site for pictures of the 2007 introductions and a sneak peek into the future of Celestial Gardens. I decided to offer double fans on most new introductions except where SF is noted. The garden is state inspected and visitation is welcomed by appointment.
Shipping charges are $10 for any size order and a complete price list is available by request. I’m looking forward to another fantastic year!

GOLDEN PARADISE
Golden Paradise Pharaoh’s Gold, 32” ML 5” Tet Dor, 4 branches, 20 buds. This beauty would best be described as a smooth, golden, buttercup yellow total self with a marvelous green throat. It is a near perfect performer in every respect, and its beautiful round form is accented by a piecrust edge. This will be a great show flower if you can get in bloom by show time! Fertile both ways. DF $50.00

IN HIS PRESENCE
(Q1-1) Blizzard Bay x Great White, 28” ML 6” Tet Ev, 4 branches, 20 buds. I saved seven seedlings from this fantastic cross and In His Presence had the best branching. This is a sib to Butter & Sugar (2006) and would best be described as a very near white with a gold edge. It is evergreen and is proving to be an excellent breeder for more white and better branching in your white program. Fertile both ways. DF $75.00

SOFT AND SUBTLE
(Q22-1) Bold Encounter x Antique Fringe, 26” EM 5.5” Tet Sev, 4 branches, 22 buds, fragrant. With classical piecrust edging and soft tones, this beauty serves as a wonderful contrast to some of the showier daylilies. The soft coral pink petals and sepals are accented by a rose eye and edge. Fertile both ways. DF $75.00 |

STARBLAZE
(Q11-1) Panda Bear x Strawberry Lace, 30” MRe 5.75” Tet Ev, 3 branches, 15 buds. This garden standout is chartreuse yellow with a large rose eye and edge and a green throat. It will absolutely stop you in your tracks! Perhaps even more exciting than its showy color, however, is its performance in the garden. ‘Starblaze’ is a progressive re-bloomer with 2-3 scapes emerging from each fan for a very long bloom season. This was one of my favorites from the very beginning. Fertile both ways. VERY limited availability. SF $100.00

STUCK ON YOU
(Q4-1) Great White x Taos, 28” EMRe 6.5” Tet Dor, 14 buds. This eye-catcher is a baby ribbon pink self with a narrow gold edge and green throat. The first blooms of the season are 7” and decrease slightly in size as the season progresses. The form and size are the strongest attributes of ‘Stuck on You’ and the narrow gold edge gives it just the right amount of pop in the landscape. Strong rebloom offsets the bud count. Fertile both ways. DF $75.00 |

WALKING ON WATER
(P5-4) El Desperado x Wild Mustang, 26” MRe 5” Tet Dor, 4 branches, 25 buds, fragrant. The name on this one says it all. ‘Walking on Water’ is a creamy peach daylily with a red eye and edge and a green throat. It is an outstanding performer with consistently well formed blooms. Quite simply, it is near perfect in all respects. Fertile both ways. DF $50.00 |
