38” x 7”, 25+ buds.  Intense gold self.  The color compares well with MARY’S GOLD.  Really, a neat garden flower. The petals look as if they were made out thick sheets of rolled gold.  They roll under themselves.  When this 7” flower is unrolled it has a wingspan of 11”.   The substance is so heavy that it takes two days to open. SAILING TO BYZANTIUM is late blooming and makes a terrific finale to the bloom season.    Pollen fertile, difficult pod. Tet, Late, Dor.
